JOB SUMMARY:
 
Responsible for various technical support tasks related to claim assistant duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Claim Assistant duties which include:



Review correspondence for closed Excess claims



Notify Analysts of any concerns such as certain medical procedures or specific financial scenarios



Enter comments, financials and claim updates on claims



Image all documents received through Closed Excess email address



Monitor incoming email and notify analyst of pertinent information



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Prepare expense reports in Concur, as directed



Review correspondence for closed Treaty Re claims and notifying Analysts of any concerns



Enter comments and claim updates on Treaty Re claims referred by Analysts



Image all documents received through Treaty Re email address



Document First Reports and enter comments, as directed



Close claims and correspond with broker accordingly



Prepare and maintain various logs and production reports



Answer phone and handling routine inquiries



Backup to Assistant, as needed



QUALIFICATIONS:


Position requires an individual who is dependable, detail oriented, analytical, organized, and self-motivated with excellent technical and communication skills.


 


 Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple items simultaneously


 


 Must work well independently with the ability to take direction from various individuals


 


 Participates in and promotes a team environment with the Department and the Company


 


 Proficiency in the use of Windows Excel, Word and Outlook


 


 45 WPM typing speed required. 


 


 3 – 5 years of office experience preferred


 


 High school graduation or its equivalent
