2. POSITION OBJECTIVE 







To support the branch by providing candidates for both immediate vacancies as well as for the building of candidate pools. The Staffing Specialist will place a primary focus on attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent for Manpower clients. This role will specialize in understanding and meeting the candidate volume and specification demands within our local markets. Recruiting efforts will include the use of online job boards as well as making local connections with viable recruiting sources. The Staffing Specialist will leverage the ever changing world of social media as an additional recruiting tool. Other day to day responsibilities will include candidate processing activities, including greeting and prescreening of potential candidates to determine Manpower employment eligibility. This role will also move eligible candidates forward in the process to ensure client readiness which includes prescreening, coordinating and conducting interviews, directing candidates to complete necessary assessments, completing compliance requirements and other on-boarding activities as assigned. This role will also support the management of phone and walk in office traffic. This position will also require frequent work in our internal database which will require a strong attention to detail accuracy. This role could also include responsibilities from Branch Manager at any time needed. A Staffing Specialist may also handle limited client account management in certain situations. These interactions may include meeting clients, client site tours, and directly filling certain orders including the job offer process.

The following competencies are required for this position:







Communication 



 




Requires strong verbal communication skills to represent Manpower as role requires both interaction and direction of candidates. Written communication must be clear with correct grammar and spelling. This role requires a firm understanding of our clients and their needs in order to effectively communicate job opportunities to candidates. Must be able to solicit and expect feedback from the staffing team regarding candidate quality and candidate match.






Team work 



 




Strong commitment to team work mandatory. Must be able to work effectively to provide support to multiple team members at various levels in the organization. Must be able to solicit and expect feedback from the staffing team regarding candidate quality and candidate match. Must be available on weekends to monitor phones and helping clients when needed.






Time Management



 




Proficient to advanced time management skills required. Must be able to utilize time in an efficient manner with the ability to prioritize multiple open vacancies while also continuing to build pools of quality candidates for upcoming needs.






Technology 



 




Strong computer proficiency required. Computer will be primary tool used in this role and candidate must be comfortable with learning an internal data base system as well as repetitive use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Candidate should also have proficient typing skills and the ability to help associates trouble shoot through internal computer systems. This role will also involve high volume internet recruiting functions with the ability to navigate across of variety of job boards and sources.






Learning 



 




Training information role will come from Branch Manager as well as computer traininer. Branch Manager will take ownership of the development and implementation of training curriculum. After initial training position would require a proactive approach at recruiting strategies.






Initiative




Position requires high level of initiative and motivation. This role is critical to the success of the branch. Candidate must be able to be self directed and proactive when anticipating the team’s staffing needs. The ideal candidate will process a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to working in a very fast paced professional environment.















5. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE 







Qualifications – Desirable: Two year minimum of previous administrative experience in a fast paced professional environment such as customer service, sales, or various human resources roles.



Required Education Level: High School Diploma



Desired Education Level: Some Post-Secondary Education



Desired Core Competencies: Strong communications skills, ability to quickly learn new systems, ability to use technology and accurately document situations, strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast paced professional environment, ability to find and apply client specific requirements, ability to evaluate candidate qualifications through the use of resumes, interviews, assessments, and reference checks.

You are extremely resourceful and use a variety of technical and informational tools to support the recruiting process. 7. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS







Risks found in the typical office setting, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there will be walking, standing, bending, carrying of items such as papers, books, and driving of automobiles.
